Based in the Southern Indian city of Chennai, Milesworth Journeys is a leading leisure and learning-focused tour operator with over 22 years of experience and expertise in designing and delivering  hundreds of tailor-made holiday trips within India and beyond to thousands of delighted travellers. Our trips offer an immersive experience of the destination you want - an opportunity to slow down and savour the landscapes, wildlife, people, their culture and their cuisine.
OUR HISTORY
Milesworth Travel, as it was earlier known, was founded by Kanta Gupta in 1994 to provide businesses with one-stop corporate travel management solutions. Prior to striking out on her own at the age of 50, she worked for nearly 12-years as a key account manager with a nationwide agency chain. In 1999, Milesworth was invited by American Express, the world’s second largest travel company, to become the representative office for Chennai.
OUR ASSOCIATES
Shoestring Hospitality is an associate company of Milesworth Journeys, and runs Footprint Bed & Breakfast, a 12-room bed & breakfast catering to leisure & business travellers. Footprint B&B has been voted consistently in the top 5 on Trip Advisor since 2008, and is endorsed by virtually every international travel guide book. Our Managing Director, Ashish Gupta, is a co-founder and director of the Barefoot Group, a US$ 8 million hospitality and travel venture based in the Andaman Islands. It is the owner and manager of the highly reputed and awarded luxury eco-lodge, Barefoot at Havelock. Visit www.barefootindia.com

Ashish was also co-founder and former Director - India for www.traveltocare.com India's first website for responsible tourism. He has spoken at several international travel shows including ITB Berlin, on responsible tourism. This venture was part-funded by DANIDA (the Danish International Development Agency).
